Note: We're learning more about the legalities of "volunteering" on a farm, and this information is all subject to change soon. Uncle Sam apparently doesn't like volunteers, and this may make hosting volunteers and/or WWOOF'ers impossible for us. Check back soon for more info!
Work with us!
Running a farm like this takes a team of people willing to work hard and smart together to grow the very best veggies we can. It also takes people willing to have some fun and enjoy ourselves (while working hard and smart), because, frankly, what's the point of working this hard if we don't enjoy our lives?! In 2013 that team will include two season-long interns (May-Halloween), backed-up by volunteer workers who will be joining us for various lengths of time, plus the occasional day helper... plus of course the farmers, Luke and Cara, and Tucker the dog.

Full Season Interns
2013 full-season positions are filled! We hire two full-season interns, from May through Halloween. Full season interns receive a modest stipend and a private room with wifi and full meals here at Team Quincy. You'll work 5 1/2 days a week, participating in all aspects of running a diverse vegetable farm, from greenhouse seeding to transplanting and field care to harvest, washing, and packing, to marketing and the CSA. It's a great opportunity to get a hands-on experience of a working, expanding farm that's big enough to learn a lot, but small enough that you'll really be a critical and participating part of the season's success. |

Volunteer Workers & WWOOF'ers
UPDATE: We've really enjoyed hosting WWOOF'ers and volunteers, but it's important to us to have a fun, safe, and legal environment for everyone on the farm. We're currently looking into if we are legally able to host volunteers... until the matter is resolved, we have to close our doors so that we can be confident of workers' comp coverage and labor law compliance for our team. We still welcome visitors, though, so don't be shy to email. |

Short-term visitors
Whether you want to help out a young farm, learn a bit about agriculture, or just get your hands dirty and feel the breeze instead of going to the gym, we can probably use your help! There's always lots to do, but we schedule our weekly tasks knowing who's around, so please contact us before dropping by! We really recommend you bring a pair of rubber boots if you're coming to visit, as even dry days have dew, and if it's raining or you're here for a while, please remember a raincoat. Thanks for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you in the field! |
